My Dreams

Dreams are the driving force for doing something great in life. Abdul kalam dreamt of India in 2020. Ambani dreamt of Reliance as a world’s leading company. Kaniyan poonkundranar, Tamil poet dreamt of world peace before 3000 years back. Hence, your dreams will inspire you to achieve greater heights. My only question to you is this “Where do you look at yourself after 5 or 10 years?”

If you got a dream, learn to protect it. Plan to reach and hold on to your dreams. Set a dead line and apply the efforts. The dream will come true one day. Your dreams should have a date you must be ready to put consistent effort. A dream without a date is always a wish.

My dreams are as follows:

1. To get a dayshift job with regular shift and weekends off. With the Minimum 3L per year package.
2. GOOD (Getting Out Of Debts) before August 15, 2015.
3. Resign my job on July 03, 2016.
4. Taking care of Parent’s Health and supporting them in their old age.
5. Build my own dream house in my native place in the year 2017.

6. Charity and helping others.

1. To get a dayshift job with regular shift and weekends off. With the Minimum 3L per year package.

I am currently working for CSS Corp pvt Ltd, Ambatur, Chennai as support engineer. My complete work is in the night and my routine is completely against the nature. This is my first job after graduation. I do not want to rest in my first job as growth is inevitable.

I love to get up before sunrise and go for morning jog for about 45 minutes. Take bath fresh and reach office around 09 A.M. Come home back in the evening 05 PM, play games in the evening and spend evening time with family members. But now, I am working in night and sleeping in day time and staying away from parents.

I am on the journey to reach all my dreams and one of the first steps is to get a job with regular day shift and minimum of three lakhs per annum package.

2. GOOD (Getting Out Of Debts) before August 15, 2015.

The next element of my dream is GOOD (Getting Out Of Debts) before August 15, 2015. I have spent my complete childhood in poverty. My parents did their best to provide me good education. After completing my graduation in the year 2009, I looked at my family status and found the total family was in 4 Lakhs rupees debt. This debt accumulated exponentially due to compound interest. We were in a situation to pay minimum Rs.13000 a month for interest alone.

In the year 2009, after completing my degree; I decided the upcoming year 2010 must be the year of income and not the year of expenditure. I also decided not to be dependent on them financially. I postponed the idea of pursuing MBA degree which I love to do.

On July 2009, I got the opportunity to work as back office cum show room executive for Anamalaies Agencies, Cheverolet, Tirupur with the monthly salary of Rs.3000. With my first month salary, I started my own independent business with a MNC at Rs.1000 start up cost. I also got an opportunity with Accenture as Associative Software Engineer and landed in Chennai on November 09, 2009. Left Accenture and joined CSS Corp pvt Ltd on March 10, 2010. Working there till date and looking for day shift job.

I gave 85% of salary to my parents to help them financially. After a year, I looked at my family and there was no change in family status with regards to debts or lifestyle. I had A counseling session with my team manager Mr.Jophin Jose and got an innovative idea. As per his suggestion, I applied for a personal loan and reduced the interest rate from 3.5% to Rs. 1.30% per month.

Now, I am working for CSS, building a business in my unproductive time and partnered with
Google Advertisement program. Currently, having three sources of income to reach my dreams.

3. Resign my job on July 03, 2016.

Job is a good thing. But staying in a job alone is not a good sign. An international financial expert Robert Kiozaki suggests having multiple source of income. Depending on a single source of income is not secured.

I have decided to resign my job on July 03, 2016. In job, you work for someone else’s dream. For example, your company has a financial goal for the current year and we work for the company. But, in business you will work for your dream.

I have analyzed the lifestyle of the people who were into job throughout their life and retired. Their lifestyle was not so inspiring. They had a house on loan and the documents were with bank. They drove a car where the car was in EMI. However, very big business men like Ambani, Tata, Birla, Azim Premji, Narayanmoorthy, Bill Gates, Benjamin Franklin did not work for anyone for longer time. They decided to build a business in their early stage of life.  They are enjoying the financial freedom and good time with the family.

Job is a termed as active income. Which means, when you stop putting time in your job or conventional business; the income stops then and there. You may lose your job at any time with or without your mistake. Few possibilities are as mentioned below:

- Recession in IT industry.
- A new technology introduced will take away your job or business. Few examples are Telegram was replaced by SMS.
- You may die out of illness or accident.

When your income stops, think about your family and their financial status. I am currently building a business with a MNC under private franchising model and expanding it in India. When the business income replaces the primary income, I will be ready to quit my job.

4. Taking care of Parent’s Health and supporting them in their old age.

Wow! What a pleasure and excitement I am getting when I think of taking care of my own parent’s health and in their old age. It is my duty and responsibility to take care of them. Now, I am staying away from my parents only due to a single factor MONEY. If money was not challenge, I could be with my parents all the time. Hence, I am diversifying my income to reach financial freedom and time freedom.

5. Build my own dream house in my native place in the year 2017.

I still remember the night where we left our native place just because we were unable to pay debt of Rs.10,000/-. My dream is to build my dream house in my native place and make my parents relax in their older days. This will come true in 2017.

6. Charity and helping others.

Charity is one of the passions for me. The only reason for me not able to do charity is because I do not have enough money. Once again money is the deciding factor. Once I am self sufficient, I will help the people unlimited who are in need.
